Why this was built
GLP-1 Coach is a solo-built project, made by one person who kept running into the same gap: GLP-1 medications are genuinely effective, but the space between "here's your prescription" and "see you in three months" is enormous.
Most people on these medications are managing side effects, trying to hit protein targets with a broken appetite, wondering if what they're feeling is normal, and doing all of this alone. The medical system doesn't have the bandwidth for weekly check-ins. Generic calorie trackers weren't built for this. And AI tools that could help are scattered across chat interfaces with no memory of what you logged yesterday.
This app is the thing I wanted: a simple daily log that knows what week of therapy you're on, gives you honest feedback, and doesn't pretend to be a doctor.
The goal isn't to replace your care team. It's to make your next appointment more useful — to walk in with actual data instead of rough guesses, and to know what questions to ask.
A few things this project isn't: it's not VC-backed, it doesn't have a team of coaches, and it's not built on the assumption that you'll use it forever. The transition phase is part of the product too — helping you build habits that hold so you need less of everything, including this.
The AI coaching is real (powered by Anthropic's Claude), and it's clearly labelled as such. There's no fake social proof here, no invented testimonials, no team page with stock photos. Just a tool that does what it says.
If something's broken, or you have a question the FAQ doesn't answer, email hello@glp1coach.app — I actually read it.
